Saint Apollonia

Referred to as the patron saint for dentists, Apollonia was arrested, persecuted, and had her teeth knocked out because she refused to pronounce blasphemy or lose her chastity. She ultimately threw herself into a fire and died a martyr. Today she is held in high esteem as Apollonia of Alexandria and celebrated on February 9.
