About Saint:
She was the daughter of a deeply rooted pagan father named Dioscorus, who locked her in a tower away from external influences. When he traveled, Barbara had secretly gotten baptized and created a third window in her private bathhouse to honor the trinity. Her actions enraged her father, who reported her to the Emperor, where she was tortured and eventually beheaded by him. She is the patron saint of miners and artillerymen. Her feast day is celebrated on December 4.
