He is perhaps one of the most popular English saints known. David was Welsh and a man of many titles. During his lifetime, he was a bishop, monk, abbot, and Archbishop of Wales. He also helped spread Christianity among the pagans of Western Britain. He was the patron saint of vegetarians, poets, and Wales. His feast day is March 1st, and he was canonized in 1123.
