Saint Ezequiťl Moreno y Diaz

When Ezequiel Moreno y Daz, also known as Ezekiel Moreno y Diaz, was an Augustinian Recollect, he became a saint in the Roman Catholic Church, which he still is today. Originally from Alfacro, Spain (where he was born on April 9, 1848), he eventually became a missionary to the Philippines. Pinara and Pasto, Colombia, were both named after him as bishops. He is revered as a protector of those suffering from cancer.
