Saint Pierre Toussaint

Pierre was a Haitian who was sold into slavery in 1996 and buried at the cemetery of the church where he was once refused entry. He was shipped to New York, where he worked for his masterís wife and as a barber. After his freedom, he worked, married, and continued in his Christian life. He was the only layperson to be moved to a crypt.
