As a member of the Discalced Carmelites, Teresa of Jesus of Los Andes (13 July 1900 – 12 April 1920) was born in Chile. As a child, FernŠndez Solar was a devout Catholic with a temperament that fluctuated between being angry and vain, as well as showing her charitable and loving side. When she decided to become a nun, her character changed dramatically because her sole ambition was to devote her life to God's service.
