Saint Valentine was a third-century Roman saint whose feast day is celebrated on February 14. It was requested of St. Valentine that he restore the sight of a blind girl who belonged to the judge's family. He promised to do everything for Valentine if he was victorious in his bid for reelection. Valentine healed the girl's eyes by touching them.
