Saint Zita

Saint Zita or Sitha, or Citha, was a holy woman from a poor but holy Christian family who was sent to serve in a wealthy home as a maid. She was a busy lady and served diligently. Her prayer and the sight of heavenly visions drew many to her. Today, she is the patron saint of domestic workers or homemakers. People who lose things have been known to find them when they call on her intercession. She was canonized in 1696 and is celebrated every 27th day of April.
